Weekend Et al

I finally managed to make these delish, super easy mangalore buns. Been on my list ever since Vee posted the recipe.  Glad I finally got to it. Vee – Thank you soooooo much for introducing me to these buns. Absolutely loved them.

And…. they bloomed.

Ya’all have a good one now.

    I remember as a teenager I used to make these since it didn’t need baking and always loved it.Looks great.I bet my kids would love them now,got to make some.Thanks M!:)

    The buns look perfect and the Jasmines, wow. If only my tiny patio at home had the space, I would grow some,too :(

    Mythili, those jasmine flowers look amazing!! BTW, are those edible? I found a Jasmine Martini recipe the other day http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_24157,00.html
    and was wondering if the regular jasmine flowers are edible! Do you know if Uwajimaya sell these flowes?

    Sig – I am not sure of that :( But even if they were I can’t get myself unto mixing them in my martini …too attached you see :(
    No idea if Uwajimaya carries the edible flowers.. let me find out (I will be going there today) My weekend? Oh yeah, rocking baby !!!!

    what i miss most from california is my jasmine plant. it’ss too cold to grow it where i live now. that bread looks wonderful.

    Bee – The bread was awesome. Also these jasmine plants are actually indoor variety… so you could grow them if you wanted to. I can mail some of these saplings to you honey.. Let me know.
