Published by mythili at 6:58 pm under Events,RCI - Gujarat

Before you guys start pelting me with Dhokla’s and Gujarati Thaali’s please hear me out. Been going through some rough patch lately – on the homefront.  At work too, things aren’t particularly sunny. True story! Apologize for the delinquence.  I know you must be thinking that I had time to go gallavanting with my blog friends … trust me I had to really break myself from the grinding pressure I have been going through, and the meet really helped me :)

Without much ado, here are the entries. I am so thankful to all of you for sending these over to me.  You made the event worth its while. Also I would like to take a moment to remember the T girl. Hi Mythili

Great roundup. Gujrathi food is one of my favs. I was spoilt by my college roommate with theplas and dhoklas and kandhavis.. Will have to try out some of these awesome recipes.

Have you hurled sheep at Sig on Facebook yet for plastering RR’s face on your beautiful mug? Do that soon! I think you are cuter than RR!!! :)

    *blush* *blush*

Actually Sig did that after consulting with me. I wanted a monkey face.. but she gave me a human one… I think I am ok. Coming to giving trouble to Sig.. I don’t think I need a reason for that.. will hurl one right away :P :P

I am glad you liked the round up.

    Hello! Great roundup!

Does anyone know what is happening with other RCIs? Bong Mom’s Cookbook, who is supposed to be hosting the next one, hasn’t posted since December. Also, no news from RCI Bihar or Kashmir… That’s such a shame! This is a lovely lovely event and I really want to keep it going. I’d even like to host an event myself if those people can’t.. Oh yes, it seems Lakshmi from Veggie Cuisine, who started the event, is not blogging anymore either… What a shame, i really liked her blog….

Archana – How could I not but showcase all those lovely dishes you guys made? I am glad you liked the roundup.

Bee – Thanks for participating :)

Maninas – I can feel you. I know exactly what you are talking about. May be with some group consensus you could do that?

MS – See .. exactly that was what I was afraid of!!! You have tagged me as the lazy Indian blogger :P :P

Smita – Oh yeah… if you ever happen to be in town we can have a inter-city food bloggers meet up there.. what say?

Vanamala – Thanks for participating too!

  29. Suganyaon 02 Apr 2008 at 11:22 am

Mythili, I’ve been busy myself and am catching up slowly. I don’t know many Gujarati recipes, so couldn’t participate in the event. But the roundup has many exciting recipes. Thanks for hosting. Picassa for event roundups is so helpful. The page loads much quicker. Glad you liked it :)
