About Me
Vindu is a Telugu word and it means “feast”.
I never really had any love for cooking growing up. My mom would take care of all the cooking. Sure, I did pretend being on a cook show making sand cakes but that’s about it. After I came to the US I was forced to cook, and eat what I cooked with 3 other novice cooks. After about 4 years of cooking and experimenting, I think I came a long way. I think I can cook better now. I also love to believe that I take after my late ammamma in cooking style.
I realized that I love experimenting with ingredients and flavors. Most of which are chronicled here. And oh, I think cooking is a great stress reliever for me.
I write under the alias Mythili. N, my best friend and husband, is a great foodie and I learnt to experiment in the kitchen because of him. Together with N, I welcome you to “Vindu”.
